Travis Scheving

Travis Scheving serves as a Virtual CFO, acting as a strategic partner to executive teams and forming strong partnerships with CEOs, COOs, board members, private equity groups and other trusted advisors through shared goals and an alignment of visions.

With more than 16 years of experience as an executive working in care settings (including hospitals, clinics, ambulatory settings, dental offices and home health), Travis brings to his clients a deep understanding of the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Creative Planning, Travis was the director of a business solutions firm providing expertise for organizations across the U.S. and beyond. A financial leader with nearly two decades of executive experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, strategic planning, contract negotiations, financing, risk management, accounting, and financial planning and analysis, Travis has been a key member in more than 30 acquisitions, raised more than $350 million in debt and equity financing, and managed budgets in excess of $400 million. His experiences position him to guide businesses of all sizes throughout all stages of their growth journey.

Travis received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota and his Master of Business Administration degree from North Dakota State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and sits on several non-profit boards within the state of Colorado.

When not working, Travis enjoys teaching graduate courses in healthcare finance at Denver University; spending time with his eight-year-old son, Hugh; and exploring all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. He is also an avid baseball fan and follows the Minnesota Twins religiously.
