Sam Wickline CFP®

Sam serves as a Wealth Manager, working directly with his clients to create and maintain a customized financial plan addressing all aspects of a healthy financial life, including investments, tax planning, risk management, retirement, employee benefits and estate planning.

With more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Sam offers his clients a truly comprehensive planning experience. Prior to joining Creative Planning, he served wealthy families and foundations for 12 years at a highly regarded private bank. Sam began his professional career as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, serving for a decade.

Sam received his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the United States Naval Academy and his Master of Science degree in management from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® professional, as designated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

Sam lives in New Orleans and has a teenage daughter, Khloe. In his spare time, Sam enjoys traveling, viewing and playing sports, gardening, volunteering and nearly anything that allows him to enjoy the great outdoors. Sam is also very community and service oriented. At his previous firm, he ran employee community engagement operations for the New Orleans market, creating hundreds of volunteer events over his tenure. He previously served on the board of the Military Order of Foreign Wars, and he currently presides over the boards for Louisiana Green Corps and the Vista Park Civic and Improvement Association and sits on the board of the Tulane University Center for Brain Health.
