Ryan serves as a Wealth Manager for Creative Planning, working directly with clients to develop a strategy to help them get to where they are trying to go. Creative Planning provides comprehensive wealth management services to its clients including investment management, tax, estate planning, retirement plan consulting, business succession planning, liability and risk management, college planning, and charitable giving. Ryan works in the Orange County office for Creative Planning in Irvine, CA.
Ryan has 14 years of experience in comprehensive wealth management for high net worth clients. Prior to joining Creative Planning, Ryan was Vice President, Senior Investment Officer at a 100% fee-based Registered Investment Advisor. He also worked as the National Product Manager for TriLinc Global Impact Fund, the first SEC registered impact fund. Ryan began his career at MetLife Investors.
Ryan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional as designated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards since 2010. Ryan also has his M.B.A. in Financial Planning from California Lutheran University. Ryan teaches two Financial Planning courses at University of California, Irvine. He also serves on the Advisor Board for the UC Irvine Personal Financial Planning and CFP® certification program. Ryan received the 2019 Distinguished Instructor Award from UC Irvine’s Personal Financial Planning program for outstanding performance as an instructor.
Ryan volunteers for Junior Achievement, where he teaches local high school students on Career Success and Personal Finance 101. He also volunteers for the RAISE Foundation, Orange County’s Child Abuse Prevention Council. In 2017, Ryan received an Alumni Achievement award from UC Irvine recognizing his career achievements and service in the local community. At home, Ryan and Katie enjoy spending time with their 3 daughters – Emily, Summer, and Rose.
