Jim Boxma, MBA, CFP®

Jim serves as a Wealth Manager, working directly with clients to develop a comprehensive strategy to address important goals and the complex financial needs for families, individuals and business owners. He practices in the areas of retirement planning, investment management, tax planning, estate planning, business succession planning, risk management, and charitable planning.
Prior to joining Creative Planning, Jim worked as an Investment Advisor for an independent RIA where he supported high net worth families and individuals across the country.

Jim has earned his Masters of Business Administration degree and has completed the advanced study program in Financial Planning at Boston University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional as designated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Jim also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the University of Maryland, instructing undergraduate courses in finance.

Jim, his wife Tina, and his two children reside in Marco Island, Florida. He enjoys boating with the family, coaching local youth sports teams and hosting self-defense workshops. Jim holds the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt in American Karate.
