Eric Maxwell

Eric serves as a Partner and Managing Director, working directly with his clients to create and maintain a customized financial plan addressing all aspects of a healthy financial life, including investments, risk management, retirement, employee benefits and tax and estate planning.

With more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Eric offers his clients a truly comprehensive planning experience. Prior to joining Creative Planning, he was the founder of a nationally approved, SEC-registered investment advisory firm. Before that, he was a senior vice president at a global financial services firm.

Eric earned his Bachelor of Science degree in financial management from California State University, East Bay.

Eric and his wife, Jacque, both have deep roots in the community and enjoyed watching their three daughters attend the same high school they did many years ago. (Go Falcons!) Now they’re both relishing their new roles as Pa and Mema. An avid supporter of local causes, Eric joined the Open-Heart Kitchen Board of Directors in December of 2018, last serving as their treasurer. The local charity serves prepared, nutritious meals free of charge to hungry people in the Tri-Valley community.
