Darren Kalb, MBA, CFP®

Darren serves as a Managing Director with Creative Planning, working directly with clients to develop a cohesive strategy to help meet their most complex goals and financial needs. His comprehensive approach addresses wealth management issues in the areas of retirement planning, equity compensation strategies, investment management, tax, estate planning, insurance, and charitable planning.
Prior to joining Creative Planning, Darren served on the senior leadership team for a national wealth management firm where he was responsible for overseeing the vision, training, and execution of the wealth advisory team in addition to advising many of the firm’s wealthiest clients. Darren has spent his career advising clients and preparing comprehensive financial plans at some of the country’s leading financial institutions.

Darren is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional as designated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Financial Services) with a certificate in Personal Financial Planning from San Diego State University as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

In his free time, Darren enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with his family.
