Charles Lawless

Chuck serves as a Managing Director, working directly with his clients to create and maintain a customized financial plan addressing all aspects of a healthy financial life, including investments, tax planning, risk management, retirement, employee benefits and estate planning.

With nearly three decades of financial services experience, Chuck offers his clients a truly comprehensive planning experience. Prior to joining Creative Planning, Chuck served as a senior managing director for an independent financial services firm.

Chuck received his Bachelor of Science degree at The Citadel. He also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation, as awarded by Fi360, and is a Chartered Financial Consultant®, as designated by the American College of Financial Services.

When not at work, Chuck enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenny, and their children, Sean, Paige and Finn. Chuck is highly involved in a variety of professional and charitable organizations and is the president of the Chicago/Midwest Citadel Club, a board member of The Citadel School of Business Administration Advisory Board and a co-founder of The New Trier Tyro Society, to name just a few. Chuck is also a published author and patent holder and was an Eagle Scout in his youth.
