Work With a Team That Understands Your Unique Challenges
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together” – African Proverb
Partnering with a team of competent, experienced professionals can add peace of mind to your life so that you can focus on what matters most to you.
Much like building a successful career, managing wealth effectively is a complicated undertaking. There is a myriad of factors to consider in constructing a comprehensive and customized strategy designed around your specific needs. Your circumstances are unique to you and involve complexities that only a skilled professional should address. As such, it would be imprudent for any professional to undertake such a daunting task alone. Take for example building your dream home. Would you want one person to build it, or a team of experts who specialize in each phase of the home construction process? Shouldn’t this be true of building your “financial dream house” aka your comprehensive strategy?
Our Blueprint
Most wealth management firms place the burden on your shoulders to build your team. Somehow in the midst of your busy life and unique career, you are supposed to not only know what your dream house should look like, but also how it should be built, and (more importantly) what experts you need to hire in the first place. Oh yeah, and you need to be able to trust that they are putting your interests above theirs, coordinating with each other, coordinating with you, all while making sure it is all synchronized to meet your specific needs. No thanks. We take a very different approach. At Creative Planning, you will partner with a credentialed advisor who serves as the “foreman” and is tasked with partnering with the “developer” (you) to take your vision and create a blueprint for execution. Much like a skilled homebuilder, a prudent advisor leverages a team of in-house experts for the parts of your house that require specialized skills and credentials. These experts include an estate planning attorney, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a bookkeeper and a risk manager, all with experience in working directly with clients in the sports and entertainment industry.
Achieving Your Financial Goals
Creative Planning would like to help you achieve your long-term goals, regardless of where you are on your financial journey. We created this three-part mini-series to help you answer questions that are critical to your financial wellbeing.
1. Why Do You Need an Advisor?
2. Choosing Your Financial Advisor
3. Why Creative Planning? We hope these articles bring some clarity to your financial journey.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
One of the primary objectives of the advisor is to ensure each component of your comprehensive plan is seamlessly integrated and clearly and proactively communicated to you. For instance, if during the discovery process we determine that you own residential rental real estate that is not titled in a LLC nor do you have a umbrella policy, your advisor would work with the attorney and risk manager to determine what is most appropriate given your specific circumstances. Once a recommendation is agreed to, the advisor clearly communicates what that recommendation is, but perhaps more importantly, why the recommendation was made in the context of your plan and how it would likely benefit you. That is our job as a fiduciary.

Why It Matters
Ultimately, you hire a professional when you either don’t have the time, don’t have the desire, or don’t have the expertise. Given your complex needs, you likely need a team capable of proactively delivering solutions that are customized and synchronized, all while providing access to a breadth of industry experts unmatched by most wealth management firms. So really the question boils down to this: Do you think you would be better off choosing one advisor or partnering with a team of specialists built around you? The latter represents the foundation of what we do. That’s why you partner with Creative Planning.
