Tom MacLaughlin, CFP®

Tom serves as a Wealth Manager, working closely with his clients to establish and maintain comprehensive financial plans. Tom specializes in investment management, retirement planning, employee benefits, tax planning, risk management, estate planning and education planning. His approach is to gain a thorough understanding of your circumstances to provide you with a truly customized plan that helps you achieve your goals.
Tom brings over 25 years of experience in the financial planning and investment industry. Prior to joining Creative Planning, Tom served as a Vice President of Financial Counseling at a national financial counseling firm. He led a team responsible for delivering comprehensive financial planning and education to the employees of Fortune 1000 companies.

Tom received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Siena College. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional as designated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

Tom and his wife Melissa have three children – Tommy, Kate and Olivia. In his spare time, Tom enjoys traveling, baseball, gardening and spending time with his wife and family.
