Missie serves as a Private Wealth Manager, working directly with her clients to create and maintain a customized financial plan addressing all aspects of a healthy financial life, including investments, tax planning, risk management, retirement, employee benefits and estate planning.
With more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Missie was a senior financial advisor at several independent investment advisory firms prior to joining Creative Planning. Over the years, she has shared her insights with several national publications, spoken at multiple industry conferences, and chaired the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors’ South Region and Leadership Development Committee.
Missie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Wake Forest University, where she graduated cum laude, and a Master of Science degree in personal financial planning from Georgia State University, where she was named Outstanding Personal Financial Graduate Student of the Year. Missie is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®️ professional, as designated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and a CERTIFIED DIVORCE FINANCIAL ANALYST® professional, as designated by the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. Missie was named to Money’s 2024-2025 Best Financial Planners list1, which recognized 80 exceptional financial planners who earned high marks for qualifications, trust, services and customer service.
Missie and her husband, John, have two sons: Hatcher and Brooks. In their spare time, Missie and her husband enjoy traveling to visit their sons at college.
