Brett serves as a Partner and Private Wealth Manager, running a national practice working with clients to develop a cohesive strategy to meet their most complex goals and financial needs. His comprehensive approach helps solve wealth management issues in the areas of retirement planning, investment management, tax, estate planning, business succession planning, corporate stock option planning, insurance and charitable planning. Brett will work with you personally to understand your needs and provide you with a customized plan to achieve your goals.
Prior to joining Creative Planning, Brett worked for a major national financial company as a Vice President, Senior Account Executive managing a practice of over $2 billion. The majority of his career was spent working with individual clients assisting them with their financial needs. While at his previous employer, Brett was recognized with the prestigious President’s Circle award on four different occasions. This award is granted to the top 5% of Senior Account Executives in the company. He was also recognized for multiple Chairman’s Awards and Leadership Awards. Brett also served on an advisory council with senior management for five years and was asked to create and deliver a development program for associates in his region. In 2019 and 2020* Brett was listed among the top Financial Advisors in the state of Kansas on Barron's list of 'Top Financial Advisors by State' (2019 and 2020*).
Brett received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Texas Tech University and graduated with a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Dallas. He holds the Certified Financial Planner™ designation.
Brett serves on the advisory board of KC CAN!, an organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the quality of life of children in Kansas City.
Brett is married to Debbie, and they have two daughters, Hannah and Holly. In his spare time, he enjoys activities such as his daughters’ soccer games, track meets, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
