Peter Lauer

Peter serves as a Partner and Managing Director, working directly with his clients to create and maintain a customized financial plan addressing all aspects of a healthy financial life, including investments, tax planning, risk management, retirement, employee benefits and estate planning.
With nearly 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Peter has developed an in-depth knowledge of providing comprehensive wealth management for high net-worth households. Prior to joining Creative Planning, he was a vice president for a major national financial services company, where he was responsible for building financial plans and portfolios for his clients.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Redlands, where he lettered as a member of the basketball team.

Peter and his wife, Mechelle, have been married for more than 16 years and have two boys, Luke and Blake. In his spare time, Peter enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He also has a passion for photography and volunteers as a coach for youth basketball and baseball teams in the greater Los Angeles area.
