Overland Park, Kansas, Financial Advisory Firm Earns National Recognition for Leadership in Corporate Philanthropy
Overland Park, Kansas, August 21, 2023 — Creative Planning has been announced as one of ten financial advisory firms selected for the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation’s 2023 Charitable Champions List.
The Invest in Others Charitable Champions List recognizes financial advisory firms that give back to their communities by promoting a culture of philanthropy among their financial advisors and employees. Applications were reviewed blindly by a panel of financial advisors and evaluated on criteria that included leadership and culture, events and activities, incentives, contributions, and impact.

Creative Planning’s philanthropy focuses on addressing basic needs, helping individuals and families experiencing food insecurity and assisting individuals in under-resourced areas with financial education. Their focal point, Pathway Financial Education, is a Kansas City-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting financial education for under-resourced communities. Through Pathway Financial Education, over the past year nearly 1,000 people — from teenagers to adult entrepreneurs — received free financial education on money management, taxes and accounting, managing debt and using credit cards, buying a home, learning the basics of saving and investing, and much more.
Beyond Pathway Financial Education, Creative Planning’s employees have volunteered in communities around the U.S. and provided more than $28 million via grants to more than 250 nonprofit organizations. As the firm continues its nationwide expansion, local teams organize volunteer opportunities to help ensure Creative Planning makes a positive impact wherever they operate. These volunteer opportunities are mostly focused on addressing food scarcity in local communities.
