Jim Ciarmella, ChFC, CFP®

Jim serves as a Managing Director with Creative Planning. Jim takes his time with clients to understand and uncover their unique goals and concerns, develops a comprehensive plan to address them, and continues to stay engaged while monitoring their progress to achieving their goals. Jim employs a holistic approach that addresses wealth management issues in the areas of retirement planning, investment management, education planning, tax and estate planning, business succession planning, corporate stock option planning, insurance, and charitable gift planning.
Prior to joining Creative Planning, Jim was an Account Executive with Fidelity Investments. Prior to that role, Jim was the Managing Partner and Founder of Advantage Wealth Management, an independent full service financial planning firm. Throughout his career, Jim has focused on assisting individuals and businesses with creating and monitoring a sound financial plan through prudent investment planning and risk management techniques.

Jim is a graduate of Northwood University with a dual major Bachelor’s Degree in Banking/Finance and Business Management. Jim also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification as well as the Chartered Financial Consultant® designation.

Jim spends much of his time volunteering with charities and has served on the board of directors of two organizations where he played a major role on the investment committee, assisting in the prudent investment management of the organizations’ endowment funds.

Jim currently resides in Glen Mills, PA with his wife Katie and their children – Dominic, Devin and Daxton. In his free time he also enjoys golf and traveling.
