Jen MacLennan, CFP®

Jen serves as a Private Wealth Manager, working directly with her clients to create and maintain a customized financial plan addressing all aspects of a healthy financial life, including investments, tax planning, risk management, retirement, employee benefits and estate planning.

With more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Jen offers her clients a truly comprehensive planning experience. Prior to joining Creative Planning, Jen was a lead financial advisor at an independent investment advisory firm. Prior to that, she worked in public accounting, where she built a strong foundation in audit and tax before transitioning into independent wealth management.

Jen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Boston College, graduating magna cum laude. She is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® professional, as designated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and a Certified Public Accountant.

Jen is an active member of the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament parish in Washington, DC, where she previously served on the parish’s Finance Council for 13 years and in its Marriage Preparation Program for five years. She currently volunteers with the parish’s SHARE Food Ministry. Jen and her husband, Darren, have three adult children.
