Cory Nakamura, CFA®, CFP®, PPC®

Cory serves as a Managing Director, working directly with his clients to create and maintain a customized financial plan addressing all aspects of a healthy financial life, including investments, tax planning, risk management, retirement, employee benefits and estate planning.

With more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Cory offers his clients a truly comprehensive planning experience. Prior to Joining Creative Planning, he served as the Chief Investment Strategist at an independent investment advisory firm, where he guided portfolio strategy and client investment solutions.

Cory earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® professional, as designated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst^® designation, as awarded by the CFA Institute.

Outside of work, Cory and his wife, Brittany, enjoy raising their two children, Mahina and Lincoln. When not with family, Cory can often be found on the water, outrigger canoe paddling, surfing or relaxing with a guitar in hand.
