Jim Williams serves as the Investment Manager for Creative Planning. Prior to joining Creative Planning, Jim served as a financial advisor at TD Waterhouse, where he advised on and serviced individual portfolios totaling over $400 million dollars.
Jim is responsible for maintaining clients’ portfolios, keeping them properly allocated among stocks, bonds, real estate, commodities and cash. Jim rebalances portfolios as needed and is also responsible for tax harvesting when the opportunity arises.
Jim also handles and oversees portfolio transactions, transfers, and related service issues, helping our clients with deposits, withdrawals, and rollovers. Jim is also responsible for Creative Planning’s quarterly report, which each client receives, outlining the client’s current allocation, sub-allocations, holdings, and portfolio performance.
Jim is responsible for compliance for Creative Planning, and the Creative Planning custodial relationships with TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, Vanguard, and Schwab.
Jim attended the University of Missouri Kansas City on scholarship, where he graduated with a Degree in Business Administration. Jim is a Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
