Managing Director, Partner

Clay serves as a Managing Director and works with both domestic and international clients on the development, creation, and ongoing execution of a comprehensive financial plan and customized investment portfolio that offers both depth and sophistication tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client. He believes the foundation for a quality and sustainable client experience requires a comprehensive and customized approach through a fiduciary lens that unquestionably puts the client’s needs and interests first.
Clay believes a wealth manager should have the credentials, education, and/or experience needed to support goal alignment with cohesion amongst key aspects of financial planning. Just as important, the client should have comfort in knowing that the firm they choose to work with isn’t trying to sell them anything proprietary and/or commissioned based, but instead has a partner that is legally bound to always act in their best interest and has the tools, services, and support required for ongoing support and plan execution.

Clay has 18 years of experience in the financial services industry working at three major financial services firms in a variety of roles which included executive leadership. Clay earned his bachelor's degree in Finance at Arizona State University and graduated from Barrett Honors College where he wrote and defended his published honors thesis titled: Hedging Your Bets - An Analysis of Hedge Funds. He received a leadership certificate from Washington University and executive coaching from Right Management. Clay is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional as designated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

Clay and his wife Paula currently reside in Overland Park Kansas with two beautiful boys - a ten-year-old named Jake, and an eight-year-old named Ben who has autism. In his spare time, Clay likes to read up on financial related matters, spend time with his family, and cook on his cherished "Big Green Egg" where his specialty is his 22-hour brisket with beautifully dark red smoke rings, along with his wife’s favorite dish which is an orange and soy glazed salmon cooked on a cedar plank infused with apple and cherry wood.
